Dr Bob Bakalar

Dr Bob Bakalar, born 1960, graduated from Palackeho University in Olomouc, Czechoslovakia, in 1985. He passed his first fellowship in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in 1988, and second fellowship in 1993.

In 1985 - 1995 he worked in City Hospital Fifejdy, Ostrava, and in 1996 - 2004 as a leading consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Kralovske Vinohrady University Hospital, Prague, Czech Republic.

Since 2004, he works in the UK (GMC Full Registration No 6111106) having his appointments in hospitals in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Lancaster, Burton on Trent, Boston, Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Runcorn, and Lerwick.

Dr Bakalar is a lecturer of Intensive Care and Life Support. He published more then 60 articles in national and international scientific journals. He is a member of AAGBNI, The Intensive Care Society (UK), CSARIM, and ESICM.
