Are the doctors registered in the UK?
Am I insured? Should I have any other insurance?
Comparing to UK prices, yours are very low. Why?
Is there any danger in flying back after the surgery?
Q: Are the doctors registered in the UK?
A: The Czech Republic is the member of European Union so their medical diplomas are valid in the UK and vice versa. Nevertheless, some members of our team are also registered in the UK and others are in the process of UK registration just to give our British clients peace of mind. We will send you CVs of the doctors on request.
Q: Am I insured? Should I have any other insurance?
A: You are fully insured. Prague Beauty is responsible for travel/accommodation insurance, St Anna's Clinic and the surgeon for all medical matters. No other insurance is necessary.
Q: Comparing to UK prices, yours are very low. Why? Should I presume that I will pay more lately? Or are they under-quoted due to lower quality of care?
A: Our prices are final, covering all expenses, i.e. travel, accommodation, meals and drinks at the clinic, medical, surgical and nurse care, and much more. The lower price of our service compared to UK prices is brought about by the different costs of health professionals work, course advantage, and good work management in the private sector with low indirect cost. Quality of surgery and care is the same or even better than it is in the most of British hospitals. Ask referees for their experience, please.
Q: Is there any danger in flying back after the surgery?
A: The air pressure in the aircraft is a bit lower than normal atmospheric pressure. It can cause pain if body cavities (for example frontal, nasal cavity) are swollen or occluded, i.e. especially after nose reshaping. Air hypotension can also slightly increase subcutaneous bleeding. The resting postoperative period before travelling is set by the surgeon. He needs to see your photo and know your plans for surgery beforehand and he will lay down the secure period necessary to ensure uncomplicated flying. The average postoperative period can differ for individuals.
Q: I am afraid of going to Czech hospitals because I have heard that there is a low hygiene standard in Central Europe hospitals.
A: Your information is wrong. For the last 15 years there has been a big investment in health care and now most Czech hospitals follow the European standard of care, equipment, operational standards, and antiseptic guidelines. Extreme emphasis is laid upon cleanliness and antisepsis in St. Anna's Clinic; no MRSA infection has been detected in the last 4 years there.
Q: Shall I pay for reoperation if it is necessary?
A: No, everything is free of charge.
