What To Expect After Breast Fat Transfer
The surgery is performed under local anaesthesia and sedation. Liposuction phase - fat for transfer is harvested from suitable localities (bottom, hips) with a tumescent liposuction. 300 mls of pure fat must be collected for transfer, at least. Breast fat tranfer phase - harvested fat is divided into two parts, and then, in local anaesthetics, it is injected into the base of both breasts.
The surgery is completed by applying an elastic bandage so that fat graft is well distributed.
The patient leaves the clinic the same day. Clients usually stay in Prague for another 2 days before flying back.
The breast may not be considered stabilised in terms of the shape until 1-2 months after the surgery. If the course of recovery is not complicated, the patient may get back to routine activities after 7 days. However, unrestricted physical strain or sports activities are possible a month after the surgery. After a six-month period, regular check-ups at a mammary clinic are recommended to commence.
