Rhinoplasty with Prague Beauty

Nose surgery, also known as rhinoplasty, is suitable for people who do not like the shape or size of their nose and, as a result, do not feel as confident as they normally would. Nose surgery simply improves the appearance and proportion of your nose by decreasing/increasing or re-shaping its size. In addition, the surgery may have medical effects in cases such as impaired breathing caused by structural abnormalities in the nose (inherited or externally caused). People as young as sixteen years old may undergo this surgery as the development of nose is completed early on in life. Therefore, the main objective of rhinoplasty is to increase confidence and self-esteem of the client.

Rhinoplasty corrects:

  • Nose profile (humps, shape or depressions on the bridge)
  • Size of the nose
  • Large, wide or upturned nostrils
  • Nasal asymmetry or nasal tip

There will be no scars on your nose after the surgery because rhinoplasty is done by an internal method through nostrils.

What To Expect After Rhinoplasty Surgery

Normally you will stay at the clinic for 1 night. By this time the nose will be covered with tampons that do not allow breathing through the nose. Subsequently, the client has to breathe through the mouth. The tampons are usually removed after two days when breathing through the nose can be resumed. The client then recovers at our private apartment for the next 5 days before flying back home. You may experience swelling and bruising around the area of eyes, which is only temporary (usually disappears within a week or two). Additional nose protection such as a plaster splint will be removed 3 weeks after the surgery (you may be asked to wear it for another 2 weeks during nights). The final shape and size of the nose can be seen three months after the surgery.

The Risks of Rhinoplasty

Although complications are not frequent, it is very important to follow the surgeon's advice and cooperate with him to avoid possible complications (e.g. regular massaging).

Infections: caused by poor hygiene or physical damage to the fragile nose within the first two months after the surgery.

After the surgery, the client may have to adjust to his/her new look. On the other hand, the "new look" is mostly positive and welcomed.

Tips and Traps of Rhinoplasty

  • The optimal age for rhinoplasty is between 16-40 years. If you are older than that, you must accept that you are more prone to complications and your recovery time is longer.
  • Rhinoplasty is not suitable for heavy smokers. If you are a heavy smoker and would like to undergo this surgery, try to stop smoking completely at least three months in advance.

Medical Travel Shield Insurance Included in the Package Price

Standard trip or travel medical insurance policies DO NOT provide coverage if you are traveling for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment. These types of insurances will be of no help if a medical complication arises and would cancel any travel medical insurance policy.

Therefore our package prices include the Medical Travel Shield - the insurance which includes excellent travel insurance benefits plus a number of tailored benefits for patients travelling abroad to obtain medical treatment.

Before travel

The policy covers non-refundable treatment deposits, if a patient has to cancel or delay their trip

Up to £5,000 per insured person for irrecoverable payments for travel, accommodation and non-refundable deposits for cancellation of treatment for reasons specified in the Certificate of Insurance, including death, illness, jury service and major damage to the home.

During travel

If the patient's recovery period is longer than expected, the policy covers contributions towards accommodation and flights, plus a daily allowance.

Up to £1,500 per insured person towards accommodation costs, daily allowance and return flight home, if a patient has to stay at their destination for a longer time than the normal recovery period.

If the patient needs treatment for post-operative complications between discharge and return home, the policy covers contributions towards the cost of consultation fees and medication.

Up to £500 for additional medical expenses after discharge from hospital.

After travel

If the patient needs to return within 12 months to correct unsuccessful surgery, the policy covers contributions towards the return trip.

Offers the benefit of cover up to £2,000 if within 12 months of the original treatment, it is medically necessary for the patient to have a corrective procedure. The insurance will cover for return flights for the patient and a companion and a daily allowance.
