Tummy Tuck with Prague Beauty

tummy-tuck-37449105.jpg Tummy Tuck, also called Abdominoplasty - surgery, which is frequently sought out after significant weight loss or pregnancies, is the perfect answer to tightening the abdominal wall muscle. If needed, excess subcutaneous fatty tissue is removed by liposuction. The appearance and functional results of the surgery are very good, although at the cost of scars that are inevitable in order to remove excessive skin. However, scars will fade with time and its quality differs with each individual. Tummy Tuck is not only an aesthetic surgery but it also provides a solution to functional deficiency of the abdominal wall.

A good state of health is required. Tummy Tuck surgery is not recommended when pregnancy is planned. Abdominoplasty is suitable for males, too, who have a marked disposition for slackened abdominal skin.

A Complete (or full) Tummy Tuck Involves

  • An incision is made from hip to hip just above the pubic area.
  • Another incision is made to free the navel from the surrounding skin.
  • The skin is detached from the abdominal wall to reveal the muscles and fascia to be tightened. The muscle fascia wall is tightened with sutures (stitches).
  • The remaining skin and fat are tightened by removing the excess and closing the defect.
  • The old belly button stalk is brought out through a new hole and sutured into place.
  • Liposuction is often used to refine the transition zones of the abdominal sculpture.
  • A dressing and elastic garment are applied and any excess fluid from the site is drained.

What To Expect After The Tummy Tuck Surgery

Normally the stay at the clinic is for 2 days. Then the client recovers at our private apartment for the next 4 days before flying back. The bandage should be changed after one week. Rest is recommended for 2 weeks after the surgery, and the client may get back to his /her full workload after about 2-6 weeks of gradual recovery (depending on you’re the type of your work). Avoid sitting in a "crunched position" for ten days after the surgery. You will be shown the correct way to get up and lay down and sitting positions.

The Risks of Tummy Tuck Surgery

Generally, risks are associated with surgery and general anesthetics (e.g. bleeding, infection, nerve damage, unexpected drug reaction, deep venous thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism).

Typical complications are scar infection and fluid collection. In case of any subjective complaints (conspicuous pain, pressure) or any complications (persistent temperature above 38°C, bleeding with the blood soaking the bandage) it is required that the client reports to a GP or contacts us. Tugging and impaired tenderness in the affected areas are common side effects and they will be adjusted in a couple of weeks.

Driving 2 weeks or after you have stopped taking prescription pain medication
Exercise May be resumed in 4 weeks, swimming in two months
Final result Will be evident after your scar has matured, approximately in one year

Tips and Traps of Tummy Tuck

  • If you would like a tummy tuck, wait until you have had your children. The benefits gained through abdominoplasty may be lost with another pregnancy.
  • If your hips are wide, consider hip liposuction at the same time. Otherwise, tummy tuck alone may cause your hips to look larger.
  • It is important to wear a special compression garment for up to three months - this hastens remission of swelling and increases your comfort after operation. We will give you one but it may be useful to buy another one for changing.
  • Sometimes, the surgeon can recommend having abdominal liposuction in the same session. The decision to do this depends solely on the surgeon, since he can determine the risk factors and recommend the best treatment.
  • If you smoke, have poorly controlled diabetes, or are overweight, you will have a significantly increased risk of complications. + We recommend losing weight before undergoing a tummy tuck in order to achieve the best results.

I read your message and believe that you should undergo the surgery at least five months after the surgery, so any time towards end of April would be fine. I would like to know the cost of a full tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo to my flanks, I have attached several photos. In March 08 I also had a full hysterectomy which healed very well, I am fully exercising again and trying to loose at least another stone in weight. Went to Prague in January 2011. Underwent full tummy tuck and lipo. Absolutely thrilled with the results. My confidence soared instantly. I look and feel like I did when I was 18. By tummy was wrecked after two large pregnancies and my decision to do this was a difficult one. Exercise and diet just didn’t work and my GP tried to get it for me on the nhs, but my problem wasn’t any concern for them. My problems didn’t fit their "carefully" structured categories!! Anyway, I thought stuff them I will do it without them, so I did. My surgeon was DR Lukas Frajer and he was fab, I was also cared for by DR Zdenek Pros who is absolutely adorable. My experience was a positive one. My advise to anyone who isn’t happy with themselves (whatever it may be) it is your body and your right to help yourself, so go for it, you have the rest of your life to live. Well what can I say but so far so good!! Arrived home yesterday after 7 days/nights stay and good rest in Prague after having my tummy tuck and lipo less than a week ago. Vasek (the driver) a great asset I MUST add to Prague Beauty. He speaks very good English is very funny and makes sure you are happy and safe during your entire stay and he is there anytime to help with any problems or questions you may have. If you have a medical problem before or after surgery you need help with (small or large) then Bob is there to advise you on what you should do. The appartment is very trendy and very clean and tidy and is about 30mins from town, but a great place to stay after your surgery when you need to rest and recover. I was able to get out of bed only 3hours after my op. I stayed two nights at the clinic and have not needed any painkillers since the morning I left the clinic, they prescribed some painkillers to take with me but havent needed to take them. Have not been in any pain, just a feeling of being slightly bruised or now and then a dull ache. The care over in Prague is so much better than over in England and I would recommend it to anyone.

What an amazing experience. Having read in so many blogs that I would experience varying degrees of pain, I am pleased to report that other than a few little ´flutters´ inside my stomach, I have not needed a pain tablet since the operation.
